Service Description
A fantastic tour to 'slay' the Dragon! A black run for the more experienced cyclists offering off road sections, ford crossings and gnarly trails. Could well get your feet wet on this one! Starting at the Miners Standard Hub, the route travels north through Elton and Middleton by Youlgreave before joining the High Peak Trail to Hurdlow. Then wonderfully scenic off road trails provide spectacular views of the famous Dragons Back before reaching a wonderful little coffee stop at your half way point. Then it is a return journey via the charming market villages of Longnor and Hartington (a stop at the Old Cheese Shop is a must) and then back roads & gnarly trails to return to Winster (with a potential Brewery stop too). There are may opportunities for refreshment throughout the tour and we will equip you with waders for a ford crossing! An exhilarating day out for the more adventurous tourers Difficulty - Advanced Black Run Theme - History, Geology, Landscapes and Villages Surface - Mainly minor roads, cycle trails, green lanes and bridlepaths and some gates/styles and fords where you may need to push to negotiate. Cancellation Policy
Running Tours is our business so as a general rule we cannot accept last minute cancelation requests where we cannot easily re-book the date. If you need to change the date of your pre-booked tour we do ask for at least seven days notice so that we have the opportunity to re-book your slot. There is no additional charge for changing the date of your tour. If you give us less than 7 days notice and we cannot resell the slot we reserve the right to charge a 50% re-booking fee. We do not offer refunds on cancelled tours only the opportunity to re-book As a general rule we will not cancel any eBike tours based on the weather unless the conditions are so extreme they are not safe for cycling. We use the Met Office to monitor if any severe weather warnings are expected
