PeakePedals Gain the Peak District Environmental Quality Mark (EQM)

We are pleased to announce that we have just been awarded the Peak District Environmental Quality Mark

We are very passionate about the Peak District and feel this is another step to demonstrate our commitment to delivering more environmentally friendly tours of the National Park

In order to gain the award we had to demonstrate how we were achieving the following

a) Prioritise trading locally to support the local economy - we demonstrated this by the fact that we use local partners for refreshments & accommodation

b) Work to reduce our impact on the global environment - by using eBikes we are getting people out of cars and contibuting to trducing overall emissions

c) Work to reduce any negative impact on the local environment - our work promoting Active Transport as well as tours help us champion greener travel here

d) Value and support people and communities - by building our team from local people and running Community eBike rides we have shown a strong committmentto our community ,

e) Contribute to and promote the special qualities of the Peak District - clearly our tour heavily promote the Peak District

Running a sustainable business and contributing to our local area are core values for our business

So although we are delighted to get the award this will always be something that is important to PeakePedals
