Weather & Cancellation Policy

Running Tours is our business so as a general rule we cannot accept last minute cancellations where we cannot easily re-book the date but we do understand sometimes circumstances are beyond all of our control so we detail below our policies regarding cancellation

Here is the Weather
for the
7 Days

Cancellation Due to Weather

As an outdoor activity eBike Touring can be affected by the weather conditions so we thought it might be useful if we clarified below our policies over weather and cancellations. It is always worth checking the weather forecast prior to your tour so you wear appropriate clothing for the conditions. If you do not like the cold we do suggest you minimise your risk of a cold day by booking your tour in the summer months

As a general rule we will not cancel any eBike tours based on the weather unless the conditions are so extreme they are not safe for cycling. We use the Met Office to monitor if any severe weather warnings are expected

There is no reason why a few rain showers will spoil your tour in fact sometimes you get some really stunning views because of them. If the weather forecast predicts rain do be prepared to get a bit wet - it may be worth planning your refreshment stops inline with predicted showers - there is nothing like a real fire to dry yourself out

Cold & Ice

We have been out cycling in all weather conditions and you get some really beautiful views when it is cold but do wrap up warm gloves and extra layers are essential. Ice means you do have to be more careful but our bikes do have good quality tyres to make sure you get the best grip

Heavy snow is a potential reason for a tour cancellation as it is very hard to cycle in snow that said there are very few days in a year when snow is an issue - particularly in the late spring, summer and autumn

Our Cancellation Policy

As detailed above it is not that often that a tour will get cancelled because of the weather but detailed below is a summary of our cancellation policy

Notice Period

If you need to change the date of your pre-booked tour we do ask for at least seven days notice so that we have the opportunity to re-book your slot. There is no additional charge for changing the date of your tour. If you give us less than 7 days notice and we cannot resell the slot we reserve the right to charge a 50% re-booking fee.

Unless your tour has to be cancelled due to extreme weather conditions we do not offer refunds on booked tours. If you have given us reasonable notice (see above) then we are happy to switch cancelled tours to a different date or provide a gift card that can be used at some stage in the future

Gift Certificates

Gift Cards or certificates are non refundable and can only be used in the 24 month period after they have been purchased. They can be transferred to other people  Cancelation of a tour booked using a gift card is subject to the same terms and conditions of any other pre-booked tour

Third Party Activities

If you have booked one of our Multi Activity tours we cannot always 100% confirm the date online as not all the providers are linked to our online booking system. In the unlikely event we cannot provide this third party activity on your chosen day we will either agreed a suitable alternative date or activity or provide a full refund

Cancellation Reasons

As long as you give us a reasonable notice period so we can try to rebook your slot we are happy to accept any reason for a change of date. As detailed above poor weather on the day it not a valid reason for cancelation
