eBike Tour & Kayaking on the Derwent
Full day out combining a tour through stunning countryside with a kayaking trip on the River Derwent
Service Description
A great full on day out for all action lovers combining a 17 mile eBike tour with a kayaking adventure on the River Derwent. The eBiking element of this multi-activity tour begins at the Miners Standard in Winster. Where you go down little used roads and then a farm track to join the High Peak Trail. The cycle trail is then followed all of the way to High Peak Junction enjoying along the route the rich history of the railway line, the ancient history of Minninglow Hill and numerous refreshment & picnic opportunities At High Peak Junction you will then join the Cromford Canal path and meander down this tranquil waterside route until you reach the old Derwent Wire Works site at Ambergate (also home to the Great British Car Journey) You will need to be here for 1pm where you will park the bikes and get kitted up for your Kayaking Adventure on the Derwent. You will be accompanied by an experienced guide whilst you take in stunning scenery as you navigate your kayak (or canoe) along the twists and turns of the River Derwent. You will be on the river for spproximatley 2 hours Following your adventures you will be taken back to the Miners Standard to retrieve your car Difficulty - Blue Easy Tour Theme - Rivers & Reservoirs Surface - Minor roads, short section of main road, cycle paths, tracks Distance - 17 miles (eBike Tour) Time allocated - 6 hours Refreshment Stop Options - Miners Standard, High Peak Trail and Black Rock Cafes Tour Ref - 41

Cancellation Policy
Running Tours is our business so as a general rule we cannot accept last minute cancelation requests where we cannot easily re-book the date. If you need to change the date of your pre-booked tour we do ask for at least seven days notice so that we have the opportunity to re-book your slot. There is no additional charge for changing the date of your tour. If you give us less than 7 days notice and we cannot resell the slot we reserve the right to charge a 50% re-booking fee. We do not offer refunds on cancelled tours only the opportunity to re-book As a general rule we will not cancel any eBike tours based on the weather unless the conditions are so extreme they are not safe for cycling. We use the Met Office to monitor if any severe weather warnings are expected
