Service Description

Follow a disused railway line (now a cycle trail) past quarries and through limestone dales to reach the 40 acre National Stone Centre site. The tour starts from Winster allows plenty of time at the National Stone Centre before returning down quiet country lanes to an old quarry site that is now a unique Butterfly sanctuary / picnic area before returning to our Winster Hub From the Miners Standard the route follows minor roads and farm tracks before reaching Minninglow car park which offers our access to the High Peak Trail and our historic route to the Stone Centre Based on the site of 3 disused quarries the National Stone Centre is a free exhibition that tells the story of stone and features lots of geo-trails to find fossils. There is an onsite cafe with amazing views and a Rock Shop with interesting objects that can be purchased as mementos of the Peak District. Cancellation Policy

Running Tours is our business so as a general rule we cannot accept last minute cancelation requests where we cannot easily re-book the date. If you need to change the date of your pre-booked tour we do ask for at least seven days notice so that we have the opportunity to re-book your slot. There is no additional charge for changing the date of your tour. If you give us less than 7 days notice and we cannot resell the slot we reserve the right to charge a 50% re-booking fee. We do not offer refunds on cancelled tours only the opportunity to re-book As a general rule we will not cancel any eBike tours based on the weather unless the conditions are so extreme they are not safe for cycling. We use the Met Office to monitor if any severe weather warnings are expected
