Service Description

The tour starts at the Ambergate hub where your car may be left. Take the train with your bikes from Ambergate Station to the end stop of the Peak Rail at Matlock Station. From here minor roads soon take you high onto Bonsall Moor (an area renowned for UFO sightings) and through the village of Bonsall via the Barley Mow pub (home to the world hen racing championship). The tour then follows farm tracks and lanes via remnants of lead mining workings to reach the Miners Standard on the outskirts of Winster and beyond to the High Peak Trail. The trail is left after a few miles to explore the pretty market town of Wirksworth with its lanes, yards, alleyways and cafes. Minor roads are then taken to Alderwasley Moor (a last chance for refreshment at the remote Bear Inn) before returning to Ambergate negotiating a slightly more challenging rattle down a stony track back into Ambergate. Cancellation Policy

Running Tours is our business so as a general rule we cannot accept last minute cancelation requests where we cannot easily re-book the date. If you need to change the date of your pre-booked tour we do ask for at least seven days notice so that we have the opportunity to re-book your slot. There is no additional charge for changing the date of your tour. If you give us less than 7 days notice and we cannot resell the slot we reserve the right to charge a 50% re-booking fee. We do not offer refunds on cancelled tours only the opportunity to re-book As a general rule we will not cancel any eBike tours based on the weather unless the conditions are so extreme they are not safe for cycling. We use the Met Office to monitor if any severe weather warnings are expected
