At PeakePedals we are passionate about the Peak District but we are often asked what is the best area for eBiking so detailed below is a quick overview of the most popular areas and what makes them popular for eBike touring



Chatsworth & the Moors

Home of the iconic Chatsworth House & gateway to some amazing moorlands. Easy rides on trails & quiet roads with the option to branch out onto moorlands



Dovedale & the Manifold Valley


Rolling limestone dales & the meandering River Dove this popular area has some truly iconic scenery like Thorpe Cloud & lots of interesting villages to explore



Derwent Valley Heritage Area.


Located at the birthplace of the industrial revolution this world heritage site has old mills, stately homes and lots of quiet country lanes and trails to explore



Hope Valley & the Dark Peak.


The gritstone hills & famous Lady Bower reservoir make this a popular area for hiking & mountain biking but there are still plenty of lovely trails & views for eBike tourers too



Bakewell & the Monsal Trail


The best know town in the Peak District with lots to explore. Surrounding by some lovely trails with options to explore further into the surrounding villages



Matlock & the White Peak


One of the best gateways into the White Peak with routes for people of all levels. Experience scenery, wildlife, history & hidden villages in the surrounding areas



Buxton & the Dragons Back.


From the Edwardian splendor of Buston to the surrounding hills. This area has some of the most desolate & spectacular scenery the White Peak has to offer
